Kinesys Sunscreen
11/1/2010, Author Mark

Confession time.  A long time ago (years) Kinesys sent TgR some of its 30 SPF Sunscreen Spray and Sun Protection Stick.  My intention was to use the product and publish a review.  While I did use the products and begin the process of writing the review, I lost the plot and never finished.  I did, however, continue to use the products because I found them to be the best sun protection products I’d ever used.  When I ran out of the samples Kinesys sent, I bought more (multiple bottles of the spray) and have continued to use it to this day.  The other day, I ran out of the 30 SPF Spray and it somehow reminded me that I never finished the review.  I spent about 30 minutes looking over the Kinesys.com site and reviewing my notes from before and decided that instead of writing my own, lengthy testimonial, I was comfortable simply stating that everything Kinesys claims on their site about the quality and performance of their products I have found to be true and accurate.  Kinesys also qualifies as one of those companies run by passionate people that I love to find.  For a little added emphasis, I will testify just a bit.

It works - I soak up sun quickly and, unprotected can burn very quickly.  I’ve never burned while using Kinesys products even after many hours on one application.  SPF is clearly not the same across brands because this SPF 30 out performs 45-70 sunscreens I’ve used from other companies.

It lasts - in two ways.  First, one application will literally last me all day.  Case in point, Ironman Florida - applied in the morning before the start, no sunburn all day.  I do mean all day as I’m not fast enough to finish before sunset.  Second, the 4oz bottle seems to last forever.  I’m not stingy when I apply it and one bottle will last months using it on my face, arms and legs multiple times a week.

It sticks - with other sunscreens, I get burn spots on my face during long sessions.  I guess I wipe my face often and I rub off other sunscreens leaving spots without protection.  That has never been a problem with Kinesys.  I forgot about that until this week when I had to use another brand of sunscreen.

It feels good - not long after applying, I can’t even tell I’ve got Kinesys sunscreen on.  Kinesys is not greasy at all and never stings my eyes as when I start sweating.

I encourage you to try Kinesys products.  They really do live up to the hype.

Finally, I’d like to apologize to Kinesys for dropping the ball way back when.
